Meta Muse pricing: free tier, Power and Max plans
Meta Muse pricing has three levels: a free tier with a usage limit, a Power plan at USD 20 a month, and a Max plan at USD 100 a month. The paid plans differ only in how much weekly usage you get, according to Meta's help page "About Muse subscriptions": 500M Muse tokens per week on Power and 3B on Max. Meta does not publish the size of the free allowance. This page sets out what Meta has published, what it hasn't, and how billing, renewal and cancellation work, all checked against Meta's own pages on 12 October 2026.
Checked against the official pages listed at the end, 2026-10-12. Muse Task Hub is an independent guide, not Muse.
Meta Muse pricing at a glance
Meta's help page says only that the weekly allowance increases as you upgrade. It does not list features that are locked to paid plans. It also says benefits and availability may vary by region and account, and that the benefits available to you are shown during onboarding before you subscribe. Treat the in-app screen as the final word for your account.
- Free: $0. Meta says Muse is "available for free with a usage limit." When you hit the limit you can wait for it to refresh or upgrade.
- The Muse Power plan: USD 20 per month, 500M Muse tokens per week.
- Max plan: USD 100 per month, 3B Muse tokens per week.
- Meta's launch post puts it this way: Muse is "free for most of what people need," with subscription plans for people who want to do more. Its Muse for Small Business post uses the same wording.
What Meta Muse pricing leaves out
These are the gaps in what Meta has published, as of the date above. If you see exact figures for any of them elsewhere, check where they came from.
- The free allowance. Meta's pages say there is a usage limit and that it refreshes, but they give no number and no reset schedule. Some press coverage quotes a free figure attributed to a post by Mark Zuckerberg. We couldn't confirm it on a Meta page, so we don't repeat it here.
- What a token buys. Meta measures paid plans in "Muse tokens" but doesn't say how many tokens a typical task uses. Background work on goals keeps running after you close the app, so expect long-running tasks to use more than a quick question.
- Annual billing or local prices. The help page lists monthly plans in US dollars only.
- Extra usage packs. Muse's terms say Meta "may offer" additional paid AI usage and promotional credits, and that these credits can't be refunded or exchanged for money. No price for extra usage is published.
How to subscribe and who can
In the mobile app or at muse.ai, open Menu, then Settings, and tap Upgrade below Usage. Pick a plan and pay. Both the App Store and Google Play listings show in-app purchases, so you can also be billed through Apple or Google. To subscribe, Meta's help page says you must be located in a country where Muse is available, be 18 or the age of majority where you live, sign in with a Meta account, and agree to the Meta Subscription Terms of Service. Meta also says Muse and Muse subscriptions are "in limited testing" and not available in all locations. Meta describes Muse as available in the US and Canada. See our Meta Muse app guide for platforms and sign-in.
Renewal, cancellation and refunds
- A Muse subscription renews automatically each month and is charged on the same date as your first purchase.
- You can cancel at any time in Settings, then Manage subscription, below your usage information. You keep the paid allowance until the end of the billing cycle.
- Meta says it gives no credits or partial refunds for a cancelled Muse subscription, unless the law requires them.
- Cancel on the same platform and account you used to subscribe. If you paid through the App Store or Google Play, use that store's cancellation steps.
- Signing out or deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.
Is the free tier enough?
That depends on how much background work you give it, and Meta hasn't published the free cap, so the only reliable test is your own use. Your usage information is shown in Settings, next to the Upgrade and Manage subscription options. Start on free with a few light, recurring jobs, such as a daily morning brief, and see how far into the week your allowance lasts before paying. If you want Muse to cut other costs, finding subscriptions you forgot about or lowering your internet bill are tasks where the savings are easy to measure. For what the product does, see What is Meta Muse?, and for first steps, how to use it.
